Dedicated, calm outdoor sessions designed for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, held in a welcoming natural setting.
We provide dedicated high ropes sessions with significantly reduced participant numbers to avoid sensory overload and ensure each individual’s needs are met calmly and comfortably.
We also partner directly with special schools, alternative provisions, and charities (including the National Autistic Society). We deliver small-group and 1-on-1 programs in bushcraft, ropes, and team activities to foster resilience and self-worth.
“We attended with The National Autistic Society South Glos and had a brilliant time. Ben and team made us feel really welcome and kept the safety demonstration fun and not too overwhelming.”
“The guys were nothing but fantastic and happily listened to help the SEN members of our group and those finding it challenging. At no point did any of our children feel unsafe. Absolutely recommend!”
From arriving at Ashton Court Estate to conquering the treetop canopy — here is your step-by-step checklist.
Park at the Ashton Court Golf Course car park (use postcode BS8 3PX or search Pedal Progression on Google Maps). Follow the signposted woodland trail across the gravel paths into the Summerhouse Plantation (approx. 8–10 minute leisurely walk).
Check in at the timber marshaling hub. Ensure you are wearing closed-toe shoes (trainers or walking boots) and comfortable outdoor clothing. Tie back long hair and empty pockets into the free lockers provided.
Our ERCA-certified instructors fit every climber with an adjustable harness and safety helmet. Everyone completes a low-level practice run on our ground training wire to master the continuous safety mechanism before ascending into the trees.
Ascend to the Green Course to build confidence, move on to the suspended obstacles of the Blue Course, and test your bravery on the 12-metre high Black Course and high-speed canopy zip line! Instructors patrol below to cheer and assist.
Unharness at the exit platform, grab commemorative photos, and explore the estate grounds or relax at the courtyard cafe adjacent to the estate mansion.
